Q: How can I make sure my content sells?
A: Let as many consumers as possible know that it is for sale. Share the IA platform on social media, email your network etc. Consumers must register for IA to get access to bid on content.
Q: What if my content does not sell before the auction ends?
A: It will be available for immediate purchase for the minimum bid price. At this time, our best practice is to set your auction for a 24 hour period.
Q: Can I publish my content in other places besides IA?
A: No. If you want to publish your work somewhere else, please do not submit it to IA. Once you submit your work to IA, it should not be published by anyone other than the consumer who buys it.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Always free for life for Producers to upload content. We take 20% commission when your content is sold from the sold for price. During this pilot, we are waiving the commission for your first piece of content that sells.
For this phase of our pilot program we are offering a membership to IA for $10 for one year for Consumers. Membership gives you access to bid on all auctions.
Q: I am a Consumer and I need a specific topic to be written about, can I request it to be written?
A: Yes. Please complete this form with what you are looking for.
Q: I am a Producer, how do I get paid?
A: Once your content sells, payment will be sent automatically to the method you provided on your registration form within 7 working days.
Q: What is IA
A: IA is a platform that connects Consumers of content to Producers of content.
Q: What is a Consumer?
A: A Consumer could be the editor to a magazine, a small business owner, or a blogger. Anyone that is looking for content that they can use is considered a Consumer on IA.
Q: What is a Producer?
A: A Producer is usually a writer or content creator. Anyone is is looking to write content and submit it.
Q: Who owns the rights to the work?
A: Before a Producer uploads content to IA they own the rights. Once a bid has been submitted the rights are transferred immediately to IA. Once bidding ends, and payment is completed, the rights are transferred to the buyer. If the work does not sell at auction, the IA maintains rights to the work until it is sold, or until the writer removes the work from IA, taking the rights back.
Q: Can I take my work off of IA once I upload it?
A: Yes. As long as bidding has not begun, or it is available for purchase immediately, you may remove it at any time by emailing info@chibur.info.
Q: Do I need to give the writer “by line” credit once I purchase the work?
A: Not unless it is specified by the writer.
Q: How many words does work I submit need to be?
A: As long as you feel it needs to be to make your point.
Q: Do I get byline credit?
A: If you specify that byline credit must be given in the content description yes. If not, only if the consumer decides to publish it with credit.
Q: I’m a Consumer. How do I bid on content?
A: When new content is available you will be notified via WhatsApp message. It will include a link to the auction. To bid, create a bidder profile or sign in and submit your bid.
Q: What are IA points?
